Downeast Airsports offers a unique, safety-oriented "fly-for-life" program of beginning to novice instruction in both hang gliding and paragliding. Learn either sport to realize your dreams of soaring like a bird--or learn both to have the advantages of more free-flying options. Exciting changes are underway here in Maine to improve our training program. New training hang gliders and paragliders have been added to help students progress as rapidly and easily as possible towards their dreams of soaring with the birds! Tandem hang gliding instruction--aerotowed and foot-launched--has been added to the program (tandem paragliding will be available soon). Also, a new scooter-tow system has been added which greatly increases the amount of training days for both hang gliding and paragliding. You can check our inventory for available gliders which are ready for purchase immediately. New and experienced pilots alike will be able to purchase gliders and equipment carefully selected for the best combination of safety and performance.
